Came out way too thin. Would not be able to spread it on anything. Had to add another half package of cream cheese and a lot of powdered sugar. Not sure what I did wrong, or if the recipe is leaving something out.. The water from the strawberries makes it thin, are you drying them out? Maybe the sugar is supposed to powdered sugar instead of granulated? But only 1 tablespoon wouldn't make it thicker. Also one tablespoon of sugar isn't sweet enough, but that's just my own taste.

Hi Thea,
I'm sorry this didn't work for you. There's nothing left out of the recipe and it's written correctly. Make certain you are using a block of cream cheese, the kind that comes in a box. Not a spreadable, whipped cream cheese. I used regular strawberries, freshly cut and it thinned the cream cheese slightly but did does not make it runny. The sugar is granulated sugar and if you want a super sweet cream cheese, you could certainly add more.
Kathy 🙂
