Sparkling Limeade is a refreshing nonalcoholic beverage.
On a recent trip for a soccer tournament my son picked up a bottle of sparkling limeade at an organic market. It was delicious and so refreshing. I had to recreate that bubbly drink as soon as we came home.
This drink doesn’t have a lot of sugar and it’s a bit on the tart side! That’s just how I like it. I tend to like things on the tart side like in lime sherbet and rhubarb crisp. If you like it a bit sweeter, feel free to add a bit more sugar.
What is sparkling limeade?
Sparkling limeade is a beverage made with fresh squeezed lime juice, sugar and carbonated or sparkling water.
What is sparkling water?
Sparkling water is also called carbonated water or seltzer. It is just plain water with added carbonation and can be found in most beverage sections of convenience and grocery stores. Be sure to find an unflavored water for this recipe.
What is the difference between sparkling water and soda water?
Sparkling water only has added carbonation. Soda water has carbonation but it also has added sodium and other minerals.
Can I just add plain water to this sparkling limeade recipe?
Of course you can add plain water. You’ll just have regular limeade instead of sparkling limeade! Still delicious even without the bubbles.
Can I use other citrus juice instead of lime juice?
Yes! This would be delicious using fresh squeezed lemon juice, orange juice or grapefruit juice.
Don’t forget to PIN for later!
