Quick, easy, and delicious Meatball Sandwiches. These sub sandwiches can be made with homemade or store-bought meatballs.

These meatball subs are perfect for a quick dinner or lunch.

    Easy dinner idea

Sometimes we need a quick and easy meal. These meatball sub sandwiches are just the ticket when you need to get dinner on the table fast. They are also perfect for when you are looking for a scrumptious meal!

For these meatball subs, you want cooked meatballs. That's what really speeds up dinner. I used my Italian Meatballs, but any pre-cooked meatball will work. If your meatballs are frozen, make certain they are fully thawed before making these sandwiches.

Use some good hoagie rolls and toast them lightly in the oven with a bit of olive oil. Don't be tempted to skip this step. The rolls can become soggy if they aren't toasted first. Soggy rolls do not make a yummy sammy!

After the rolls are toasted, you spread them with some marinara sauce, place the meatballs and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. They are then baked until the cheese is melty and the meatballs are heated through. I like to serve these with additional marinara sauce for dipping.

Serve these delicious meatballs subs with a Caesar salad and an oatmeal chocolate cookie for dessert.

You have totally got me craving a meatball sub for lunch today, Kathy! These subs look insanely delicious! Great tip about toasting the roll with a bit of olive oil. It's so tempting to skip that step and just dig in, but it really is key for making a delicious sub. I'm putting these on the menu sometime during the holidays for sure! 🙂
