A delicious blackberry peach cobbler makes a perfect dessert for any occasion. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a splash of cream for a perfect finish.
This cobbler is made with frozen blackberries and peaches which means it can be enjoyed all year long!
Why make this recipe
The summertime has an abundance of fresh fruits perfect for making just about any kind of dessert.
During the summer, I tend to freeze raspberries, peaches, blackberries, rhubarb and more. I love to pull them out during the cold winter days and treat myself.
I often will just eat a bowl of the fruit while it's still frozen, add to a smoothie or make up a tasty dessert.
This blackberry and peach cobbler is made with fruit from my freezer and once cooked, you are reminded of all the wonders of summertime! You can also buy bags of frozen berries and peach slices from most grocery stores.
You can make this cobbler year round, even in the summer! You could use fresh fruit too, when it's available.
Every bite of this delicious cobbler will remind you of warm summer days!

- Create Uneven Topping Spoonfuls: This ensures a rustic look and varying texture.

- Serve Warm or at Room Temperature: This cobbler is best enjoyed either warm or at room temperature for optimal flavor.
Recipe Faqs
This cobbler is best eaten the same day it is made. However, any leftovers are still good the next day too.
Any longer and the mixture becomes very soupy and the topping becomes soft.
You can eat this cobbler plain or serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
This cobbler is also delicious with a bit of cream poured over individual servings. It adds a delicious creaminess!

As a 50 year southern chef tournant, who was taught how to make cobbler by my depression era granny from her grandmother's recipe, this isn't cobbler, it's fruit and dumplings. Cobbler is a 3 ingredient batter that is seared in a hot buttered dish (like cornbread) and then the INDIVIDUAL pieces of fruit are sprinkled over, and the batter rises around it. You guys love to call everything BUT cobbler "cobbler". Please stop spreading disinformation to millineals that don't have a clue...
Kathy says
I believe there are several different versions of cobbler out there, and this is my version. You might want to try Googling "What is a cobbler?" and you'll be surprised that there are actually more types than a three ingredient biscuit. Nevertheless, this is the cobbler that I grew up eating with a recipe from my depression era Grandma.
