This homemade creamy Caesar salad dressing is a delicious take on a classic Caesar Salad dressing. This dressing can be made in just 10 minutes and is perfect for making ahead of time.
Use this Caesar dressing for making a Caesar salad, Caesar wraps or even used as a spread with these turkey wraps.

Homemade dressing
Creamy Caesar dressing is full of flavor with lots of garlic, lemon and parmesan cheese.
You can easily whip up a batch of this dressing in a food processor and store in the refrigerator for up to a week. It's perfect for making a Caesar salad quickly for dinner.
Making your own salad dressing means you get to control exactly what goes into the dressing. Add a little extra garlic or squeeze of lemon or omit anything you don't have on hand.
We use this Caesar dressing for making Caesar salads, but we also use it as a dip for veggies, a spread on sandwich wraps and we even like to dip spicy chicken wings into this dressing!
Key ingredients
- Parmesan cheese - grated
- Mayonnaise - I use regular mayo, but you could also use a low fat mayonnaise if you prefer
- Lemon juice - freeze squeezed really is the best
Step by step directions
- Add mayonnaise, garlic, dijon mustard, vinegar, worcestershire sauce and lemon juice to a food processor bowl.
- Pulse until smooth
- Add parmesan cheese
- Pulse until mixed, but so the cheese still maintains some texture
- Place in a storage container with a cover and refrigerate until ready to use
Tips for making this dressing
- A food processor works best to combine all the ingredients
- If you don't have a food processor, use a whisk or a blender
- Make and use right away or cover and store in the refrigerator for up to a week
Recipe FAQs
This creamy Caesar dressing can last up to one week in the refrigerator. If the dressing separates, just stir until it comes back together.
A traditional Caesar dressing does have raw eggs, or coddled eggs. This creamy dressing uses mayonnaise instead of eggs.
Traditionally there are anchovies in a Caesar dressing. This dressing does not include them, however feel free to add one or two if desired.
This recipe does use Worcestershire sauce, which does list anchovies as an ingredient.
What can I add to a Caesar Salad?
You can add a grilled chicken breast, grilled salmon, or thinly sliced cooked steak. All of the items can be added warm or cold.

Kathy, Caesar salad must be one of our family's favorites! Nothing compares to homemade dressing. So cool that you used to make it in a restaurant! You must have made it a lot to get the proportions right without tasting it!
Kathy says
Making them in the restaurant was certainly challenging! So much easier to make in my own kitchen!

Caesar is my Mom's favorite salad so I grew up eating it every week. Love your creamy dressing recipe and will send it to my Mom so she can try it too! Also, love the story of you making caesars tableside at the restaurant. I would have been super scared! lol! 🙂

It was a lot of pressure! Somehow I made it through.
David @ Spiced says
I've made my own Thousand Island dressing before (yum!), but never Caesar. Caesar salads are one of my go-to salads though...so I definitely need to try this one out. And I second the lack of anchovies. 🙂

Ahhhh....those tableside Ceasars were the best! I don't think I could remember all the proportions any more. I do remember trying to leave one bitty piece of lettuce in the bowl so I could sample my creation once back in the kitchen. Love that you omitted the egg!
Kathy says
I wonder how many Caesar Salads we made back then....
