Easy salad dressing

Making homemade salad dressing is easy peasy, and this Asian dressing is no exception. Everything goes into one jar and then you shake! That's it! Easy as can be.

The dressing is perfect over your favorite green salad, but would also be great on a pasta salad, used as a marinade, or even as a dipping sauce!

Once you've made this dressing, feel free to tailor it to your taste. Add a few red chili flakes for a bit of spice or sprinkle in some sesame seeds.

Key ingredients

Bottles of soy sauce, oil and vinegar along with honey and garlic.

This section reviews the best ingredients and substitutions for this recipe. For an exact list of ingredients and quantities, check the recipe card below.

  • Olive oil - Or use your favorite oil
  • Soy sauce - I use low-sodium soy sauce
  • Rice wine vinegar - Adds the tang you need in a dressing. White wine vinegar can be used too.
  • Sesame seed oil - Just a touch is added, but don't leave it out. The sesame oil adds so much flavor!
  • Honey - Adds sweetness. Brown sugar could also be used.
  • Seasoning - Fresh garlic and dried ginger
