An easy, hands-off method for cooking breakfast sausage links or patties in the oven. Ready in about 20 minutes and perfect for cooking a large batch at once.
Place sausages on a baking sheet. I like to line my baking sheet with parchment paper for easier cleanup, but leaving it uncovered is fine too.
Bake in oven for 15-20 minutes, rotating the sausages once halfway through cooking time.
Check for doneness with an instant-read thermometer. Pork sausage should reach an internal temperature of 160°F. Insert the thermometer into the center of the thickest sausage to check the temperature.
Serve hot.
Notes
Use parchment paper for easier cleanup.
Leave a bit of space between sausages.
Use links or patties.
If using patties and you are not using parchment paper, lightly spray the baking sheet with a nonstick spray before adding the patties.
Turn, rotate or flip the sausage partway through cook time.
Cooking time will vary depending on the size of your sausages, the amount of sausages you are cooking and your oven.
You can cook any amount of sausage as long as it fits on the pan.
