Instructions
Melt the chocolate in a microwave safe bowl. Heat for 30 seconds at a time, stirring between each time.
2 Cups semisweet melting wafers
Continue heating for 30 seconds at a time until completely melted.
Spread chocolate on ⅔ of each pretzel rod.
24 whole pretzel rods
Sprinkle with colored sprinkles.
2 tablespoons sprinkles
Place on a baking sheet lined with waxed paper until cooled and chocolate is set.
Notes
Chocolate melting pieces work best for this recipe
Chocolate chips can also be used. Add 1 tablespoon of shortening to the chocolate chips while melting.
White chocolate chips do not melt and should not be used
May also use dark chocolate and white chocolate melting wafers
Small pretzel twists can be used. Dip each pretzel into chocolate with a fork. Lightly tap fork to remove excess chocolate.
For easier clean up, use an extra cookie sheet as your work surface. This helps catch all the little sprinkles that like to go everywhere!
Place finished pretzels on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper until chocolate has hardened
