Place wings in a bowl and drizzle with the oil. Toss until the wings are well coated.
1 tablespoon olive oil
Place wings on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika.
½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon pepper, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ¼ teaspoon paprika
Bake in a preheated 400°F oven for 40-45 minutes until crispy and baked through.
Sauce
Make the sauce by melting the butter along with the garlic and dried parsley in a saucepan. You just want to warm the butter until the garlic becomes fragrant. Remove from heat.
¼ cup butter, tablespoon garlic, 1 teaspoon dried parsley
Stir in grated parmesan cheese.
¼ cup parmesan cheese
Once the wings are fully baked, place them in a large bowl and pour prepared garlic butter sauce over the wings. Toss to coat.
Place on a serving dish and top with an additional sprinkle of parmesan.
1 teaspoon parmesan cheese
Notes
Be certain to pat your wings dry with a paper towel before beginning. This removes any excess moisture and helps the wings become crispy.
Use parchment paper or a silicone liner to help prevent the chicken from sticking. You can also use a baking rack over the cookie sheet instead of the parchment paper. Just spray the rack before adding the wings.
Use coarse salt like kosher salt or flaked sea salt, rather than table salt.
Use freshly ground pepper.
Actual cooking time will vary depending on your oven, the size of your wings, and how many wings you are cooking.
Leave a bit of space between the wings on the baking sheet. If too crowded, they will not become crispy.
