Place avocados, sour cream and buttermilk in a food processor.
2 ripe avocados, ¼ cup buttermilk, ¼ cup sour cream
Process until smooth.
Add vinegar, olive oil, lime juice, lime zest, seasonings and sugar. Process until well blended.
2 Tablespoons white wine vinegar, 2 Tablespoons olive oil, 2 Tablespoons lime juice, zest from one lime, 1 teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon ground black pepper, ½ teaspoon dried parsley, ½ teaspoon dried dill, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon onion powder, ½ teaspoon sugar
Scrape down sides of food processor and taste dressing. Add additional salt and pepper if needed.
Add 2 tablespoons of water if a thinner dressing is desired.
Notes
This recipe yields approximately 1 ½ cups of dressing.
Make certain your avocados are very ripe and soft.
Store dressing in a covered container in the refrigerator and use within 3-5 days.
To make it thinner, stir in 1-2 tablespoons of water until the desired consistency is met.
