for sprinkling on top of biscuits
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Fruit Filling
Combine peaches, sugar, flour and cinnamon.
2 pounds peaches,
1 cup sugar,
¼ cup flour,
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Stir until peaches are coated with sugar.
Biscuit Topping
Put flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a food processor. Pulse 2-3 times to mix.
1 ½ cup flour,
2 teaspoons baking powder,
¼ teaspoon salt,
2 Tablespoons sugar
Add butter. Pulse until butter is incorporated and mixture is coarse.
6 Tablespoons butter
Add milk. Pulse until dough is formed.
¾ cup milk
Assemble Cobbler
Grease a 9 x 13 inch casserole dish.
Stir peach mixture again and add to casserole.
Place dollops of biscuit dough on top of peaches.
Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of sugar on top of biscuit dough.
½ teaspoon sugar
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 50-55 minutes until topping is browned and filling is bubbly.
