Old Fashioned Oats
1 ½

pecans
chopped

vegetable oil

maple syrup

teaspoon
vanilla

teaspoon

Instructions
Pour oats and pecans into a large bowl.
In a smaller bowl, mix oil, maple syrup and vanilla.
Pour syrup mixture over oats and stir until everything is covered with the oil and syrup.
Pour oats onto a large greased baking sheet.
Sprinkle salt over the top.
Bake at 300 degrees for 45-60 minutes stirring once after 30 minutes.
Notes
Use Old Fashioned Oatmeal, or Rolled Oats. It is a bit thicker than quick cooking versions.
Use a large bowl to combine all ingredients
Cook at a low temperature
Let fully cool before storing
Store granola in glass containers or in an airtight container
