Blueberry Sweet Rolls
Delicious sweet roll filled with blueberries and lemon and topped with a lemon glaze.
Active Dry Yeast
Dissolve yeast in warm milk and sugar. Once the yeast is bubbly, it's ready.
Make the dough
Add yeast, eggs, melted butter and one cup of flour to a mixing bowl. Mix to combine.
Continue adding flour until a soft dough is formed. Shape into a ball and place in a covered dish. Allow dough to double in size.
Shape the rolls
Roll out dough into a large rectangular shape. Sprinkle with sugar.
Add blueberries and lemon zest.
Roll up the dough into a long log.
Slice the log into 2 inch slices and place in a greased baking dish. Cover and allow the rolls to rise.
Bake and add glaze
Bake in a preheated 375° oven for 20-25 minutes. Once baked, add lemon glaze while rolls are still warm.
