Perfect dinner salad - Spinach, Pear and Blue Cheese Salad!

Spinach, Pear and Blue Cheese Salad topped with pecans and blue cheese crumbles.

Fall is in full swing here. The temperatures have dropped. The leaves are changing and pumpkins are everywhere you look. I'm all ready to dive into pasta dishes and soups. However, I still want a salad. The spinach, pear and blue cheese salad is a great fall salad.

Cutting up a fresh pear on a wooden cutting board with fresh spinach leaves in the background.

This is as simple as simple can be...just fresh baby spinach, a quick homemade blue cheese dressing, sliced pears and a few spiced pecans or honey roasted cashews!

Pear and blue cheese go hand in hand, if you add spinach and a lovely touch of crunch with the candied pecans you have a great dish. Love it!

Fall is definitely here and I'm not complaining about the cooler fall temps! What a fun salad, it's one of those easy but still fancy salads, like the ones you'd serve to company. And they'd be really impressed!!!

Perfect for company. In the summer I often eat salad as my main meal, but the rest of the year salads are a side dish with a heartier meal.

Oh, this sounds like an amazing lunch idea! In fact, I have some extra blue cheese in the fridge that I need to eat. Now I just need to pick up some pears and spinach, and I'll be all set. Yum!!

I went to an event recently where they served this salad but also added cranberries - it was really great! Looking forward to trying your version, Kathy. I'm envious of your fall description - no let up in the heat here - in the 90s this weekend!

Cranberries would be lovely sprinkled on top. I was at a soccer tournament this past weekend and the temps were in the 80s. It was wonderful, especially since it was 45 and rainy back home! A little change of any weather is always nice.
